KHANEWAL: At least one man was killed and two others were injured when a truck overturned near Bridge Astabal today morning.
According to details, a truck overturned near Khanewal killing one person on spot and injuring two children. The rescue teams reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
The injured are being given medical treatment. The deceased person has been identified as Muhammad Ibrahim from Rahim Yar Khan. Reportedly, over speeding was the cause of accidents however, investigations into the accident are underway.
Earlier this week, at least four people were killed when their car was hit by a passenger train in a railway track near Pattoki.
According to sources, the car was crossing the Landa railway track in Pattoki when a fast-moving passenger train, which was bound for KaraÂchi, hit it. Â
It was coming from Lahore. Meanwhile, rescue teams and police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the nearby hospital for legal formalities. The victims were identified as Amir, Adnan, Asadullah, and Saleem.
