ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported one death in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,531,673.
According to the latest figures by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 98 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 11,461 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 98 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 0.86 percent.

In the last 24 hours, around 144 new cases of coronavirus were reported across the country.
According to figures released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 1,531,581 people were infected with the coronavirus, and 30,382 died of the virus across the country. The mortality rate remains at 2%.
In the last one day, 11,828 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus while the percentage of positive cases was 1.22%. The total number of tests is 2887107 while 61 patients of coronavirus are in intensive care.
