ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a one-day visit to Lahore today during which the reasons for the defeat of PTI in the local body elections of the Cantonment Board in Punjab will be considered.
According to details, portfolios of Punjab cabinet members are likely to be changed. The prime minister will arrive in Lahore today for a one-day official visit and will preside over various meetings during which important issues will be discussed.
During his one-day visit to Lahore, PM Imran Khan will meet Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar along with other senior officials and local officials and review the performance of the Punjab government.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar will brief Prime Minister Imran Khan on the political and administrative affairs of the Punjab Cabinet and brief him on the performance of the provincial government. Expected changes in the Punjab cabinet will be considered.
During his visit to Lahore, Prime Minister Imran Khan will also meet the IG Punjab and the Chief Secretary during which the security situation in the province and other important issues will be discussed.

Earlier, the prime minister offered his condolences on the death of his British counterpart Boris Johnson’s mother, while Charlotte Johnson died at a London hospital on Tuesday.
In a message on the social networking site Twitter yesterday, PM Imran Khan said, “I offer my condolences to my counterpart Boris Johnson on the death of his mother.”
