The Akshay Kumar starrer ‘ OMG 2’ which also features Pankaj Tripathi in the pivotal role has been witnessing good attention across the theatres.
OMG 2 had hit the theatres along with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, which had a huge craze around it even before its release.Â
OMG 2 grew manifold from its first day and earned Rs 18.50 crore on Tuesday. Currently, the movie’s total collection stands at Rs 73.67 crore, and going by its performance at the ticket counters, it might cross the Rs 100 cr mark by the coming weekend.
OMG 2 had a slow start at the box office as it earned Rs 10.26 crore on Friday. However, it started picking up pace with positive word of mouth and registered a weekend collection of Rs 32.85 crore (Rs 15.3 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.55 crore on Sunday). Furthermore, the movie’s first Monday was better than its opening day as it collected Rs 12.06 crore.

Written and directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ features Pankaj Tripathi who plays the role of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a shopkeeper who is a die-hard devotee of Lord Shiva. His life turns upside down when his son Vivek (Aarush Verma) gets admitted to the hospital due to exhaustion caused by excessive masturbation.
To save his family from being ostracised, Kanti decides to flee with his family, and that’s when enters the messenger of God, played by Kumar) to guide him and put him on a righteous path to fight for his son. The movie also stars Yami Gautam in the movie.
