ISLAMABAD: The Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) delegation has arrived in the federal capital.
The delegation will stay in Pakistan till 6th March i.e Friday. A seven-member delegation of the OIC is headed by Special Representative Yousef Al Dobeay, Secretary-General OIC for Kashmir.
During the official visit, the delegation will visit Azad Kashmir and the Line of Control (LoC) as the purpose of the visit is to prepare a thorough report on Kashmir for the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the OIC.
The delegation earlier held an open meeting in Jeddah to review the worsening human rights situation in the occupied valley during its recently concluded 16th Session. The meeting was attended by all commission members and a large number of representatives of the OIC member and observer states.
According to the organization, the Indian government, since 5th August, had deployed over half a million security personnel in the disputed territory that practically turned occupied Kashmir into the biggest open prison.
