The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a price adjustment for Regassified Liquified Natural Gas (RLNG) in January 2025, with a decrease of up to 1.9% for Sui Northern Pipeline Gas Limited (SNGPL) and a slight increase of 0.45% for Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited (SSGCL).
For SNGPL, the maximum RLNG price for transmission has been reduced to $11.72 per MMBtu in January, down from $11.96 per MMBtu in December, marking a 1.98% decrease, or $0.24 per MMBtu. Additionally, the distribution price for SNGPL has decreased to $12.66 per MMBtu, down from $12.89 per MMBtu in December, reflecting a 1.81% drop, or $0.23 per MMBtu.
In contrast, RLNG prices for SSGCL saw an increase for both transmission and distribution. The transmission price has risen to $10.58 per MMBtu from $10.54 per MMBtu, a 0.44% increase, while the distribution price has climbed to $12.60 per MMBtu from $12.54 per MMBtu, showing a 0.45% rise.
The price changes reflect a continued downward trend in international RLNG prices in recent months, along with some stability in the local currency against the U.S. Dollar, which has had a slight impact on domestic RLNG prices.
