Pakistani famous leather brand ‘Jafferjees’ has published a statement to disassociate itself from Zahir Jaffer who killed Noor Mukaddam after people claimed that the brand was linked to the accused and his family.
While clearly denying any links with Zahir Jaffer, the Jafferjees (Private) Limited in a statement claimed, “Jafferjees (Private) Limited would like to state unequivocally that the incident in Islamabad has NO business or personal relationship with the Jafferjees brand in any way,” said a public notice by the brand on its Twitter.

We wish to reassure our patrons with the truth and hope that these publications and individuals fact-check their reporting,” the statement added.

Last week, when 27-year-old Noor Muqaddam was allegedly killed by Zahir Zamir Jaffer, son of Zakir Jaffer, many social media posts allegedly claimed that Zahir Jaffer is a member of the Jaffer Group of Companies, the Chief Brand Strategist for Ahmed Jaffer & Company (Private) Limited and owner of multiple companies like Jaffer Brothers (Private) Limited, and Jafferjees (Private) Limited.
The murder of Noor, who was a daughter of former diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, has sparked fresh debate about the safety of women. Twitter was flooded with images of the suspect and his family. The hashtag #JusticeForNoor has garnered thousands of tweets.
