ISLAMABAD: National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr. Moeed Yusuf has said that no political party of the country has disagreed with the National Security Policy (NSP) while the policy guides the future of the country.
Dr. Moeed Yusuf while addressing a seminar on security policy said that national security policy is the guarantor of the future of the country and protection of ordinary Pakistanis which goes beyond politics and political parties.
Yusuf said that the objective of the National Security Policy is to take the country forward, to ensure equitable distribution of resources, non-deprivation of rights and to chart a course for the future. This makes it easier for the international community to understand Pakistan.
During the speech, National Security Adviser Dr. Moeed Yusuf said that while Pakistan has less financial resources and more challenges, it has to go hand in hand with geo-strategic and geopolitics. Moving towards a development partnership with the international community.

The National Security Adviser said that there were challenges on Pakistan’s eastern and western borders but decisions were made on the basis of national priorities.
Security policy is finalised on the instructions of the Prime Minister, it is seen which ministry or department is performing its responsibilities properly.
Dr. Moeed Yusuf said that highlighting Kashmir issue at the international level is a special aspect of national security. We will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue and will not back down from the issue.
