RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed says that since there is a decision of the Supreme Court in Punjab, therefore neither no-confidence motion can be moved into Punjab Assembly nor governor rule cannot be imposed in the province, and the nation should prepare for elections.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, he said that the elections on more than 560 seats will shake the country’s politics.

He said that those who used to say that Imran Khan would not dissolve the assemblies had to bite the dust as Imran Khan alone defeated all the politicians.

Sheikh Rasheed said that those who considered themselves as gurus and wanted to push Imran Khan against the wall, the same wall had fallen upon them, and every obstacle created by the government in the way of holding elections would bounce back.

He advised the federal government to have mercy on the plight of the masses, not to create obstacles and invite Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan, adding that Nawaz Sharif should celebrate New Year in London after which he should return home and give up using illness as an excuse.
