ISLAMABAD: Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that there was no check and balance over hiked prices of wheat and sugar.
While addressing a national assembly session, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi held the incumbent government responsible for the unstable economy.
Abbasi said that the incumbent government has been taking loans yet the economy was suffering. The facts and figures stated by the finance advisor were not in his information, he added.
“Nothing said by our Hafeez Shaikh is based on facts and figures,” he further added.
Earlier during the same NA session, Hafeez Shaikh also slammed the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) during the National Assembly session.
While addressing the National Assembly, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said that the PML-N party in its tenure spent Rs.23,00 billion. it was more party’s income at that time.
