KARACHI: An advisory has been issued in view of the rapid spread of the influenza virus in the Sindh capital, citizens are suffering from colds, coughs, and fever due to the virus.
The Sindh Health Department issued an advisory on the increasing flu virus in the city, in which it was said that people are suffering from colds, coughs, and fever due to the increasing influenza virus in Karachi.

Medical experts said that pregnant women, young children and people over 65 years of age with chronic diseases can be more affected by the virus.
The advisory directs hospitals to isolate infected patients and urges the public to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing and sneezing and to dispose of used tissue in a covered trash can.
The Sindh Health Department says to wash hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap or handwash, avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth, and eat nutritious food.
The advisory issued said to get adequate sleep and stay physically active, those suffering from a flu-like illness should stay at home for at least 24 hours until the fever subsides and avoid meeting more people.
Use a face mask when coughing and sneezing, avoid travel by infected persons, and maintain good ventilation in closed spaces.
