Further revelations have emerged in the investigation into the death of Humaira Asghar Ali, the most startling of which is that the actress was facing financial difficulties before her death, as claimed by Pakistani media on Wednesday.
According to details, investigators seized three mobile phones and a tablet from the actress’s apartment and examined the data obtained from them. A report states that the investigating officers concluded Humaira Asghar Ali was going through a financial crisis at the time of her death.
Her phone was last used on October 7, at 5:00 PM. On October 7, 2024, she attempted to contact 14 individuals but did not succeed in reaching anyone. Investigators stated that this suggests the actress passed away on October 7. A diary and documents were also recovered from her apartment.
The investigators further revealed that there were three SIM cards registered in Humaira Asghar’s name, all of which were inserted in phones. Two of her mobile phones were found to have no password protection.
It is worth noting that Humaira Asghar’s body was discovered on July 8 from a flat in Ittehad Commercial when, after non-payment of rent, the landlord filed a court request and a court bailiff arrived at the residence. When the door wasn’t opened, it was broken down, and the actress’s body was recovered.
The initial post-mortem report stated that the body was in the final stage of decomposition, suggesting that the actress had died 8 to 10 months earlier.
