The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted more rainfall in Karachi beginning September 3.
The Met Office reports that moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal will start affecting the upper regions of the country today. Concurrently, a western disturbance is expected to influence the western areas.
The PMD notes that this weather system could bring thunderstorms and rain to Karachi and various parts of Sindh. The rainy period is anticipated to last until September 4, with rain also expected to impact Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Balochistan.
Rain accompanied by wind and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in Kashmir’s Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from September 2 to 3.
Wind and thunderstorms are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Ghanche, and Shigar on September 2 and 3.
Moreover, Rain, wind, and thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan on September 2 and 3.
