Karachi Kings’ fast-bowling sensation, Fawad Ali, has emerged as the fastest bowler of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
The young speedster from Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, set the speed gun ablaze when he delivered a fiery ball clocking 149.75 kmph to Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan during a recent match.
This delivery not only caught attention but also placed Fawad at the top of the charts for the fastest deliveries bowled in the current PSL edition. Fawad’s performances have been highly impressive throughout the tournament.
Notably, he has not conceded a single six, underlining his control and accuracy along with his raw pace.
His first breakthrough in T20 cricket came against Quetta Gladiators, where he dismissed Hasan Nawaz for 35 runs, marking a significant personal milestone.
The 22-year-old’s rise is nothing short of inspirational.
Starting his cricketing journey as a tape-ball cricketer in the valleys of Swat, Fawad’s career took a dramatic turn when he attended the Karachi Kings Talent Hunt Program in 2023.
His raw talent was spotted, and after honing his skills at the Karachi Kings Academy under expert guidance, he was selected as a replacement player for PSL 9. His continued growth and hard work earned him a well-deserved spot in the Emerging Category for PSL 10.
It should be noted that most of the fast bowlers of the Pakistan national team come from the Pathan belt of the country.
