South Korean dramas are slowly growing to worldwide dominance especially on Netflix. In a recent research, it was revealed that about three-fifths of Netflix’s users have watched a Korean show.

Doona!
Netflix’s much-awaited upcoming romantic drama, Doona! is set to premiere in October featuring a star-studded cast. The series promises to be a heartwarming tale of love, dreams, and the unexpected twists of fate.
Doona! revolves around the unexpected pairing of a former K-pop idol and a college freshman. The series delves deep into the journey of an ordinary college student, Won-jun, who meets Doo-na, who retired after leaving behind the glamorous K-pop idol days and becoming housemates.
Starring Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong in the leading roles, Doona! will premiere on Netflix on October 20.
Ballerina
Netflix is set to stream one of South Korean thriller movies titled ‘Ballerina’ soon to its streaming platform. Directed and written by Lee Chung Hyun, Ballerina an upcoming film, is a story about Ok Ju who works as a bodyguard. Ok Ju specializes in many physical activities such as martial arts, sword fighting, gunmanship, and motorcycle riding.
Ok Ju has a friend named Min Hee who is a ballerina by profession. But Min Hee dies due to unfortunate circumstances. Before her death, she had asked Ok Ju for a favor. Lamenting that she couldn’t protect her friend, Ok Ju sets out to take revenge on Pro Choi. Ok Ju risks her life to avenge the unjust death of her friend Min Hee.
The main cast of Ballerina features Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Ji Hoon, and Park Yoo Rim. The movie is set to release on October 6 on Netflix.
Castaway Diva
‘Castaway Diva’ is a romantic comedy following the story of a girl who drifted out onto a deserted island while on her way to Seoul to partake in an audition to become a singer.
Consisting of 12 episodes, the series will star Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Joo Heon.
The series will debut on Netflix on October 21 on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday.
The Moon That Rises in the Day
Consisting of 14 episodes, the cast features Pyo Ye Jin, Kim Young Dae, Ohn Joo Wan, Jung Woong In, and Jung Heon. The series will stream on Netflix on October 25.
