Netflix just gave The Sandman fans reason to cheer as it’s greenlighting season 2 of the fantasy drama.
The 10-episode season, which arrived on August 5th, covers the first two volumes of Neil Gaiman’s seminal comics, Preludes and Nocturnes, and The Doll’s House. Later the same month, a surprise bonus episode was added an online streaming platform.

It took three months, but The Sandman has finally gotten a renewal at Netflix. Between July 31st and September 18th, The Sandman scored 393.14 million hours watched on Netflix globally before dropping out of Netflix’s top 10 site.
The Sandman
The series tells the story of Morpheus–the personification of dreams and one of The Seven Endless– who is captured in a 1916 occult ritual. After being held captive for 106 years, Dream escapes and sets out to restore order to The Dreaming realm.
The series stars Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, alongside Boyd Holbrook, Vivienne Acheampong, and Patton Oswalt in supporting roles.
