Varun Dhawan’s much-anticipated action thriller, Baby John, was released in theatres on December 25, 2024. While the audience’s response is still mixed, many fans are already wondering when and where they can catch the film on OTT.
Directed by Kalees, Baby John is the Hindi remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri, which itself was inspired by the 1990 Tamil film Chatriyan and the 2013 Hollywood movie Homefront. Varun Dhawan plays the role of DCP Satya Verma, who is forced to fake his death after a deadly confrontation with a politician, leading him to raise his daughter under a new identity. The movie also stars Keerthi Suresh, Waqima Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff in key roles.
For fans looking to stream the film, Baby John will not be available on Netflix. Instead, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the streaming rights. As per reports, the film is expected to arrive on the platform around two months after its theatrical release, likely in late February 2025. The exact date for its digital release has not yet been confirmed.
The movie had a strong opening, with impressive advance bookings, and is predicted to earn between 13-16 crores on its first day, marking one of Varun Dhawan’s third-biggest openings.
