BRUSSELS: NATO ambassadors will gather on Monday in Brussels for an urgent meeting supervised by the head of the military alliance over the situation in the Middle East after a US drone attack.
The meeting will take place in Brussels, Belgium in NATO’s headquarters. NATO members hold meetings regularly, but this meeting was organized on short notice after consultation with the members of an alliance by NATO’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
The alliance decided on Saturday to suspend its training mission in Iraq over security risks following the attack on Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Qassem Soleimani on Friday.
Amid tensions, NATO is motivated to control the situations in the middle east which has caused a global outrage that has shocked the international community. The financial markets have gone unstable on a global scale and threats have been made of a nuclear war.
