KARACHI: The 41st death anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the former prime minister of the country is being observed today across the country.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari in a statement paid tribute to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto that Bhutto is still ruling the hearts of the people. He had defeated the exploiting forces by giving awareness to the people of their rights, Asif Zardari said.
According to Zardari, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had used politics to serve the people and to give them their rights. The PPP has always followed his philosophy, he added.
Zardari vowed to take the country out of ignorance, poverty, and hunger by following the manifesto of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and to bring development and prosperity to the people of the country.
Besides, PPP chairman and the grandson of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a message on the 41st martyrdom day anniversary of his grandfather believed that true leaders change the destinies of nations.
According to Bilawal, such leaders lead with great courage and vision in times of crisis. While highlighting the current situation, he said that in these troubled times the citizens are looking for a new Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a leader who will protect us despite our differences, a leader who will be the shining light to lead us out of this pandemic, he added.
