The 77th martyrdom anniversary of the great son of the Pakistan Army and the first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, is being observed today with national reverence and respect.
According to ISPR, Captain Sarwar embraced martyrdom on July 27, 1948, during the First Kashmir War while fighting the enemy in the Tilpatra sector of Azad Kashmir.

Paying tribute to Captain Sarwar’s courage and valor, the Pakistan Armed Forces have saluted his great sacrifice. A guard of honor will be presented at his mausoleum today, and a floral wreath will be laid.
