A house was brutally attacked in the Sohbatpur district of the Naseerabad division, Balochistan, causing widespread fear and grief among the local residents, as reported by national media.
According to the police, seven members of the same family, including a woman and three children, were killed due to firing and the house being set on fire in Sohbatpur.
Apparently, the victims, who were sleeping inside their home at the time, had little chance to escape as assailants first opened fire on them before setting the house ablaze.
Initial reports suggest that the attackers deliberately ensured that no one could flee by blocking possible exits before lighting the fire. The police stated that the incident occurred due to a land dispute, and further investigations are underway while the search for the attackers continues.
Investigations are currently underway to uncover more details regarding the history of the dispute and whether any prior threats had been made against the victims.
The attack has sparked widespread condemnation, with social media users calling for greater efforts to prevent such land-related feuds from turning into deadly assaults.
