Speaking at ‘Pitch Side’, he said former Coach Mark Coles would once again be appointed as the head coach of Women’s Team. He said “the previous regime gave no importance to women’s cricket whereas I planned to construct six academies for women cricketers of Pakistan.”
Najam Sethi to bring foreign coaches back for the national team. I actually agree with what he said here. Unfortunately, most Pakistani coaches despite being great players in their time, lack the interpersonal skills to be good MENTORS, which foreigners are way ahead of us in. pic.twitter.com/IRdojLxwt6

Speaking about PSL, Najam Sethi said things were not good between previous management and PSL franchises. He said he personally favored the idea of including more teams in PSL, but PSL franchises didn’t want more teams, however, he said, he would try to convince them to bring the number of teams to 8 teams. He further said “I was told there is red line for Peshawar. There should be no red line from PCB for Peshawar. We will play in Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar whenever KP government gives us green signal.”

Regarding recent test matches, he said “we thought Pakistan has problem of batting but actually Pakistan has a problem of bowling as well in test cricket,” adding that “we dropped a young bowler, management wasn’t agreeing he was injured but he was, he can bowl 4 overs but not 20, this is why we brought Mir Hamza.”
