LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has found no evidence against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s involvement in the investigation of 12 plots.
In the accountability court in Lahore, the NAB filed a reference against PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif for closing the inquiry into 12 plots.
The NAB has taken the position that all the records have been burnt to ashes due to the fire in the LDA building and the allegations leveled against Shehbaz Sharif cannot be traced.
The reference also said that no evidence of Shehbaz Sharif’s involvement was found while the nominees in the investigation, Ataullah, and Mian Raza, have died.

On the other hand, the accountability court gave former prime minister Nawaz Sharif one more month to appear. A progress report on the declaration of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a fugitive was presented in the accountability court in Lahore. It is said that advertisements were received on 9th October at the London residence of accused Nawaz Sharif.
The report said that the reception staff at Nawaz Sharif’s residence refused to accept the advertisement, however, advertisements have also been hung at Nawaz Sharif’s residence in Model Town and Raiwind.
