SUKKUR: Sindh High Court has extended the hearing of a plea filed against the bail of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah in the assets case till 4th February.
The plea was filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the bail of Khursheed Shah granted by the accountability court in the assets case as the bureau failed to file any reference against him even after completion of 90 days of remand.
During the hearing, the counsel of the PML-N leader filed his backing papers in the Sukkur bench of the high court.
The NAB filed a corruption case against Shah worth Rs 1.23 billion. He was arrested on 18th September by the NAB in Islamabad in a joint raid by the anti-corruption watchdog’s Rawalpindi and Sukkur bureau.
According to the document, he was accused of transferring an amnesty plot in Sukkur, Rohri, and Karachi, Glamour Bungalow, Junejo Flour Mills, Mukesh Flour Mills including 83 other properties were made under Shah’s frontman, Pehlaj Rai.
