LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has closed its 20-year-old probe launched against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif.
The allotment inquiry of 12 plots against Shehbaz Sharif in the National Assembly has been closed due to insufficient evidence. According to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), several people were named in the inquiry have died, including Mian Ataullah and Mian Raza Ataullah.
According to the CIT, no concrete evidence of Shehbaz Sharif’s involvement has been found so far. The inquiry against the former Punjab Chief Minister for allotting 12 plots to like-minded people had been pending for 20 years.
