ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau’s Rawalpindi office has arrested Pakistan People’s Party senior leader Khursheed Shah on Wednesday from Islamabad.
According to NAB sources, the PPP leader was arrested in a case related to owning assets beyond the source of income.
The arrest was made after the allegations against the senior PPPP leader, Khursheed Shah was proven in the initial investigation.
The PPP leader is accused of illegally allotting himself an amnesty plot from a cooperative society in Sukkur.
The corruption watchdog has been investigating the leader August 7 and it was alleged that Shah has built bungalows, petrol pumps, hotels, in the name of others. (Benaami)
NAB sources have said that Khursheed Shah will soon be shifted to Sukkur under a physical remand by the competent authority.
NAB Sukkur had initially summoned Shah through an official letter, however, the senior PPP leader responded with a letter stating that he declines to present before the inquiry commission.
