ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved filing of three corruption references against various individuals for inflicting loss of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.
The approval was granted during the executive meeting of the anti-corruption watchdog held in Islamabad presided by NAB Chairman Justice retired Javed Iqbal.
The board approved a reference against Khawaja Anwar Majeed and others on the allegations of corruption and money laundering, causing a loss of 340 million rupees to national kitty.
Another reference was approved against Syed Arif Khan of M/s Canal View for allegedly cheating the general public. A reference was also approved against former chairman Balochistan Development Authority Sadat Anwar for having assets beyond means.
The meeting also approved three inquires against various people on charges of corruption.
