ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser has urged the international community to play its role in the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
“The peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council resolutions is imperative for regional peace and stability,” he said while addressing a seminar today (Monday) in connection with the International Day of Peace.
NA Speaker strongly condemned the blatant human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOK), saying that Indian troops have been given free hand to persecute the innocent and armless Kashmiris.
“Pakistan is taking every possible step to expose the evil face of India before the world,” he said, adding that annexation of an internationally recognized disputed territory and making attempt to change its demography amount to war crimes.
On the occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, while addressing the seminar, urged the international custodians of peace to raise their voices against the Indian atrocities and genocide in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a serious threat to regional peace and stability,” he said, adding that nearly 1.7 million Hindus have been given the right to settle in Kashmir after revocation the Article 370.
The AJK President further said that unarmed Kashmiris will keep fighting for their right to self-determination. “No power on earth will subjugate the people of Kashmiri to gain their basic right of freedom,” he concluded.
