ISLAMABAD: Tuesday the National Assembly (NA) passed a resolution expressing solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir as the nation prepares with usual zeal and fervor to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member and Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam introduced the resolution at the assembly. Imam was reading the motion out loud on the floor of the house.

Imam said, “This is a landmark resolution. February 5 is the day of expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir, for seven decades the people of Kashmir have suffered under violent Indian occupation.
“For more than seventy years the Kashmiri people have been fighting this occupation. Women and children have given their lives for this just cause,” Imam added.
The 5th of February is observed as a Kashmir Solidarity Day in Pakistan, marches, seminars and other public gatherings are organized nationwide to show support for Kashmiri citizens against Indian occupation.
