In the midst of the Mustafa Amir murder investigation, authorities have unearthed a sprawling international drug trafficking and money laundering operation connected to the victim and his circle.
A major aspect of the drug supply chain came to light with the arrest of Sahir Hasan, son of the famed actor Sajid Hasan. Currently in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the murder case, Sahir was apprehended during a police crackdown on the drug trade in Karachi.
Sahir Hasan revealed that students from colleges and universities order narcotics using mobile apps, which are then delivered to designated locations. Despite allegations, Sahir denied directly supplying drugs to educational institutions, clarifying that students independently place their orders online.

He further asserted that by befriending students in educational institutions, they inadvertently contribute to these students developing drug dependencies.
Sahir said that initially, only a few students purchase narcotics, but this usage soon spreads throughout various universities and colleges.
Meanwhile, SSP Shoaib Memon revealed that two major factions are involved in Karachi’s narcotics trade: one smuggling drugs from California, while the other deals in Iranian narcotics.
