Anurag Kashyap has made the decision to move from Mumbai to Bangalore, expressing his discontent with the toxic atmosphere of Bollywood, which he feels is overly focused on profit, as reported by Indian media.
According to a report by Times of India, He has shared his admiration for the creative liberties found in the South Indian film industry, highlighting a more supportive environment for artistic expression.
In a recent interview with The Hindu, Kashyap confirmed his relocation, labeling Bollywood as ‘toxic.’ A source indicated that he has likely settled in Bangalore.

Currently, Kashyap is promoting the Hindi release of the Malayalam film “Footage,” which he is presenting. Directed by Saiju Sreedharan, the film features notable actors such as Manju Warrier and Vishak Nair. Originally released in August of the previous year, its Hindi version is set to debut on March 7, 2025.
