A high-ranking health department official in Multan fell victim to a honey-trap orchestrated by three men and a woman.
Dr. Faisal Qaisrani, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the health department in Multan, was allegedly coerced into paying an extortion fee of Rs. 5 million by a woman.
According to his police complaint, Dr. Qaisrani was approached by a woman named Amber on July 20 in the Al-Falah market. She and her three accomplices entered his car and offered him a drink, which caused him to lose consciousness.
Three hours later, Dr. Qaisrani regained consciousness in the Hasanabad area, discovering that several of his belongings were missing, including his NIC, glasses worth Rs. 40,000, cash amounting to Rs. 90,000, and a watch.
The police investigation revealed that the suspects had demanded Rs. 5 million from Dr. Qaisrani to prevent the release of compromising photographs. On July 23, Dr. Qaisrani handed over Rs. 500,000 to the suspects.
Authorities are conducting raids to arrest the suspects, identified as Palwasha alias Amber, Muhammad Asif, Mazhar Abbas, and Muhammad Sajjad, for further legal action.
