Controversial cleric, Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again made it to headlines with his recent comments during a podcast featuring Muneezay Moeen, in which he revealed his desire to marry Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant.
Renowned for his controversial remarks, Mufti Qavi acknowledged Sawant’s recent pilgrimage to Umrah, commending her spiritual journey and referring to her as a “respectable woman.”
The discussion took an unexpected turn when Mufti Qavi responded to Rakhi Sawant’s expressed interest in marrying a Pakistani scholar.
He provided a conditional reply, stating, “I am available and willing, but with one stipulation: I must first seek my mother’s approval. If she consents, then, in accordance with her wishes, you must approach me before proceeding with the marriage.”
Furthermore, Mufti Qavi recounted a personal story regarding his previous marriage, which involved a woman from a distinguished family connected to notable historical figures such as Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Quaid-e-Azam, Gandhi Ji, and Nehru.
He reflected on the sorrowful conclusion of that marriage due to her premature passing, emphasizing that he continues to honor her memory by visiting her grave.
