ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Tuesday) at premier’s Chamber at the Parliament House.
According to details, the delegation led by Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui discussed Senate elections, working relationships and other important issues with the premier.
Sources have informed that matters related to Karachi Package, jobs, Hyderabad University, closure of party offices, and missing of MQM-P workers came under discussion during the meeting.
The Prime Minister was also informed about the threats and horse-trading ahead of the Senate elections. The premier assured the visiting delegation to remove reservations on the closure of party offices, said the sources.
Meanwhile, the lawmakers belonging to the Punjab Assembly also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, whereas, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh were also present in the meeting.
PM Khan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers are being contacted but they are united. He expressed hopes that they will get success in the upcoming Senate polls.
