KARACHI: The investigation department of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested the in charge of the London unit of MQM from the Sindh capital on the charge of killing several people.
According to details, the investigation team of CTD arrested Wasi Ahmed Khan alias Kashif, former unit in-charge of the Korangi sector of MQM London, from the Korangi area of Karachi, the accused confessed his crime.
According to the CTD statement, the accused said that he was given instructions by the sector in charge, Raees alias Mamma, on which action was taken. The accused served MQM London as in charge of Unit 74 from 2009 to 2014.
In the year 2010, the accused shot and injured CTD officer Danish along with his colleagues. In 2012, 2 MQM (genuine) girls were killed along with their colleagues in Jalebi Chowk Korangi.

According to the statement, the accused killed ASI Haji Nadeem in C Area Korangi in 2013. In the same year, Landhi Unit 80 killed several MQM (genuine) workers along with their accomplices along the Navy wall.
In the same year, the accused opened fire at Nadeem Qadri’s house and seriously injured him. As a result of the firing, Nadeem Qadri’s nephew was killed. In 2014, the accused opened fire on a police mobile in the Ibrahim Haidari area.
As a result of the firing, 2 policemen were martyred. Earlier, the accused was sent to jail for murder, hand grenades, and other cases. Cases are also registered against the accused in various police stations in Karachi, which include the provisions of murder and terrorism.
CTD has handed over the accused to the concerned police for further legal action. Officials say that the process of questioning the accused and his associates and further investigation is going on.
