LAHORE: The motorway sections have been closed in Punjab province due to dense fog during the wee hours of Monday.
The motorway sections from Lahore to Kala Shah Kaku and Pindi Bhattian to Kot Momin were shut down.
The fog has also interrupted the flow of traffic at the National Highway in Lahore, Phool Nagar, Okara, Pattoki, Manga Mandi and adjoining areas as visibility was very low.

In this regard, the drivers were advised by the motorway police to switch on fog lights while driving at a very slow speed.
Fog is a complex atmospheric phenomenon, which can be considered as a type of low-lying cloud. The formation of fog is influenced by nearby water bodies, topography, wind speed, and even human activities. Fog is defined as a visibility of fewer than 1,000 meters.
