The city administration has announced a new “no helmet, no entry” policy for II Chundrigar Road, Karachi’s primary financial district, in an effort to enhance road safety and traffic discipline.
To manage the flow of vehicles, traffic authorities have installed delineators along the busy route. The road sees thousands of motorcyclists daily, particularly during peak hours, many of whom disregard traffic regulations, resulting in frequent accidents.
The helmet mandate, set to be implemented soon, will initially be limited to II Chundrigar Road. However, officials have revealed plans to gradually expand the rule to other major roads across the city.
