Karachi police stated that the incident occurred a few days ago when the motorcyclist collided with a car coming from the wrong side on a ramp of the Nipa flyover.
The police said the accident was so severe that the motorcyclist fell off the flyover and was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The driver responsible for the accident has been arrested. Police officials stated that a case has been registered, an investigation has begun, and the driver was sent to jail after being presented in the relevant court.
A significant number of citizens fail to obey traffic laws due to a combination of factors such as impatience, lack of awareness, and a sense of indifference. Many drivers feel they can get away with small infractions, believing that the chances of getting caught are low or that the consequences won’t be severe enough to matter.
In fast-paced urban environments, where congestion and time pressure are common, people often prioritize convenience over safety. Poor road infrastructure, limited enforcement of traffic laws, and a general disregard for the potential consequences lead to major accidents on a daily basis, with serious consequences for everyone involved.
