Rain accompanied by thunder is expected to continue today in various parts of the country. Rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain has also been forecast at some locations in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. In Punjab, rain is likely in the cities of Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Jhang, Faisalabad, Okara, Chiniot, Kasur, Sargodha, Khushab, Bahawalpur, and D.G. Khan.
In Sindh, rain is expected in Ghotki, Sukkur, Sanghar, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Sujawal, Karachi, Thatta, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Larkana, Shikarpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Jacobabad.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thunderstorm and rain are forecast for the areas of Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Kurram, Charsadda, Karak, Mardan, Kohat, Bajaur, Khyber, and Hangu.
The Meteorological Department has advised relevant authorities to stay alert due to the risk of potential urban flooding and landslides. The public has also been urged to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution.
