People should not worry about the Monkeypox virus which spreads like the coronavirus but is not as dangerous as Vovid 19. This is what Professor Dr. Shahid Rasool, Head of Jinnah Hospital Karachi claims.
Dr. Shahid Rasool said that monkeypox is a virus originating from African countries, which has two types; one affects the human skin while the other type can cause ulcers or sores in the inner part of the mouth.
He said that the symptoms of monkeypox include fever, body aches, and feeling weak, if someone has these symptoms, there are chances of monkey pox appearing in the next stage.
Dr. Shahid Rasool said that a good thing is that the treatment is not too difficult, if there is a fever, it will be controlled by fever medicine, if there is a cold, etc., then the medicine should be taken, but it is necessary to remember this. Although it is not very dangerous, it is a fast-spreading virus.
Dr. Shahid Rasool said that a person diagnosed with monkeypox needs to be quarantined so that the spread of infection can be prevented by treating him. Dr. Shahid Rasool said that Monkeypox also leaves scars after treatment like small pox.
The head of Jinnah Hospital said that to prevent the spread of this virus, it is important to isolate the infected people, besides using hand sanitizer and masks, it can also be prevented from getting infected.
To a question, Dr. Shahid Rasool said that complete arrangements have been made in Jinnah Hospital to handle the victims of Manki Pass. He said that we have separate hospitals and separate units in each hospital to deal with infectious diseases. There is no need for people to panic.
