Mohsin Naqvi is expected to lead Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reports said, days after Zaka Ashraf stepped down.
The interim PM approved the resignation of Zaka Ashraf from the position of Chairman of PCB and named Mohsin Naqvi as the new head of PCB, local media reported.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mohsin Naqvi is currently performing the duties of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
With the most recent modifications, the Board of Governors and PCB Management Committee will be replaced by Naqvi.
Mohsin Naqi announced his appointment on January 22, 2024, following local media coverage of the news.
Last week, after serving for at least seven months as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee chairman Zaka Ashraf stepped down from his position.
Ashraf stated he was aiming to improve Pakistani cricket in a statement.
He expressed dissatisfaction with the working conditions, nevertheless, and claimed he couldn’t work in such an environment. “Nominating a new chairman is not the prime minister’s prerogative,” he continued.
