LAHORE: Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has been ruled out of the Pakistan-Australia Test series due to a foot injury.
Nawaz has been ruled out of the series because of a foot injury and he will not be replaced, the PCB as while announced an updated squad. Naseem Shah and Sarfaraz Ahmed have now been added as traveling reserves but will only be considered for selection if there is an injury.
Mohammad Haris has been added to the reserve players list. However, he, along with Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah have been advised to participate in the Pakistan Cup, which commences on March 2 an will be drafted into the side if required.
Test players who attended a training camp in Karachi and those not involved in HBL PSL 2022 playoffs will arrive in Islamabad later tonight. After observing a three-day room isolation, they will hold a training session on 27 February
Mohammad Nawaz was also unable to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to a foot injury. The 27-year-old who plays for Quetta Gladiators suffered a navicular bone fracture and was ruled out of the series. He was replaced with Hassan Khan. However, Nawaz’s injury was a huge blow to the Gladiators who failed to qualify for the play-offs of the PSL tournament.
