Model Fatima Hasan, who was chosen as one of the hosts for the IPPA’s red carpet, was denied to host because of her inappropriate dressing.
As Pakistani celebrities gathered last night in Turkey to star the night of the International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA), Fatima Hasan was one of the celebrities who were present there and selected as the host at the event’s red carpet. However, the model, in a series of Instagram stories, shared how she encountered a disturbing situation.
When Hasan’s preparations to host the event were underway, she was told last minute that her dress was inappropriate, and ‘too revealing’ for broadcast. She mentioned how she had informed the production team of her dress prior to the event, so as to avoid any mishap.
Later, in a series of Instagram stories, she shared she was somehow given a shrug to cover up, after which Fatima allegedly was allowed to begin hosting. The model went on to highlight the severity of disorganization around the entire event.
Many social media users supported the decision and appreciated how organizers are putting a limit on the fashion statements of celebrities. One of the users wrote, “Good decision by the management u were there to host a Pakistani show, in fact, u represent a Muslim country. At least wear decent full dresses. The actress even looks more beautiful in Pakistani style full covered dress.”
Another one commented, “Perfect there should be some limits.” One of the users supported the model and wrote, “This is really humiliation. They should have given dressing guidelines before the show if there were any.”
