ISLAMABAD: Mishal Malik the wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, on Wednesday appreciated Pakistan for its unconditional and unflinching support to the political movement of the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Mishal said the people of the occupied Kashmir and Hurriyat leadership had always valued the support of Pakistan at all levels for the past several decades, although hard and testing times for the country itself.
She said that Pakistan should constant to make use of its diplomatic pressure on India and keep the international community engaged to create pressure on India on the violation of human rights in the occupied Kashmir.
She said the Indian army’s soldiers apprehended several of Kashmiri people during search operations and house raids to prevent anti-India protests a day ahead of the observance of Kashmir solidarity Day.
The main aim to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day would send a strong message to the international community that the longstanding dispute of Kashmir should be resolved at the earliest, she added.
Mishal said Kashmiris had conveyed a clear message across the globe that Kashmir was never an integral part of India.
She said that seven decades had passed and the dispute of Kashmir remained unresolved, adding, ruthless killings, pellet injuries to children and infants, rapes and torture; Indian atrocities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir continued unabated, she regretted.
She mentioned that permanent peace in South Asia is possible only with the just-resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
