ISLAMABAD: A 14-year-old housemaid was subjected to brutal torture in Islamabad. it emerged Monday, after a video of her was widely shared on social media.
According to the parents of the victim, their daughter was employed six months ago. They said their daughter was subjected to severe torture by the wife of Civil Judge Islamabad Asim, Hafeez.
The victim girl Rizwana’s entire body has obvious marks of severe torture. Giving his version, the civil judge posted at the Judicial Academy said there was no violence against the girl.
“I’m against violence,” the civil judge said, adding his wife’s gold was missing but the child was not tortured and his wife simply handed over the girl to her mother.
“The mother herself has beaten the girl,” he stated.
Meanwhile, DSP Faisal Kamran of Sargodha has stated that the girl has multiple deep wounds on her head, and due to the lack of timely medical treatment, the wounds have become infested with insects. According to the initial medical report, there are 15 marks of injuries on the girl’s body, including her head. In addition to these 15 injuries, the girl’s internal organs have also been affected.
ASP Sargodha said legal action will be taken according to the law regarding the incident.
