GUJRAT: A two-year-old girl l was killed and four others received burn injuries when a fire broke out at a house in the Gujrat area Punjab on Sunday.
According to sources, the fire erupted at the house of Muhammad Ali located at the Shahdulla Road in Gujrat which engulfed the entire house very quickly. The blaze killed a two-year-old girl while Muhammad Ali, his wife Samina and two other daughters received burn injuries.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital. Rescue sources confirmed that the fire broke out due to short-circuit.
Earlier, three people have been killed after a fire erupted at a three-story yarn factory in Karachi’s Baldia Town area.
According to details, the incident took place in the Baldia Town area where the fire lasted for hours and completely burnt down the three-story building. The fire was brought under control after a six-hour struggle.
A municipal station officer was also injured during extinguishing the fire in the factory. The fire officer said there was no emergency gate at the factory. As per the fire officer, there was only one way to enter the yarn factory.
