ISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has asked PML-N leadership to apologize to the nation for breaching the sanctity of the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

While talking to a private television channel today the minister said Nawaz Sharif and other leaders had been playing politics over the Karachi hotel incident.

He further said PML-N’s leaders; including Nawaz Sharif, who is also a convict and absconder of court cases had no concern with the constitution and laws of this country.

Commenting on the outcome of the inquiry report issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, Fawad said the provincial and federal government had expressed satisfaction over the report.

The minister said that the last government of PML-N was responsible for damaging the economy and the Model Town incident. Nawaz Sharif who went to London on the medical ground was enjoying time at different restaurants in the United Kingdom, he stated.

He made it clear that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government would continue the accountability process against the corrupt leaders.

Meanwhile, on social media website Twitter, the minister said, “Nawaz Sharif & Co. is making noise while Sindh government and Bilawal are welcoming the inquiry report. Nawaz Sharif is a notorious accused. How can he reject a report?” he questioned.

According to ISPR, the army has completed its court of inquiry and has recommended suspended all concerned persons from their respective responsibilities. It stated that action will be taken against them at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

Chief of Army Staff General Qammar Javed Bajwa had ordered an inquiry after the incident when took place on 18th October after the violation of the sanctity of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam where political slogans were raised during a visit by PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has rejected the outcome of the inquiry report issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations stating it as a cover-up to shield the real culprit.

On a social media website Twitter, Nawaz Sharif said,  “Inquiry report on Karachi incident is a cover-up scapegoating juniors and shielding the real culprits. Report ‘Rejected’.”

A case was registered against PML-N leader Safdar and he was arrested from a hotel but secured bail a day later.

The Sindh government had distanced itself from the incident and claimed that the IGP Sindh was ‘kidnapped’ by a paramilitary force and coerced into ordering the arrest.

The Sindh Police had revolted over the incident and announced to send leave applications in masses before being convinced by Chief Minister Sindh.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had met with COAS General Bajwa and ISI chief General Faiz Hamid after which the inquiry was ordered.
