KARACHI: Former Finance Minister and PML-N Sindh General Secretary Miftah Ismail has resigned after no action was taken against the rioters at Karsaz House.
According to sources, PML-N Sindh General Secretary Miftah Ismail has resigned from the party post. Party sources said that Ismail resigned from the party as no action was taken against the rioters at Karsaz House.
It may be recalled that last month, workers had rioted over the distribution of cantonment election tickets in exchange for money, while the party’s central president Shahbaz Sharif had formed a committee to investigate the incident.

The committee included Khawaja Saad Rafique, Kheal Das Kohistani, Rana Mashhood and Sheikh Qaiser Ahmed. The committee was to submit its report to PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif within three days, however, Muftah Ismail resigned from the party as he was frustrated that the party had not taken any action against the rioters.
