ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail has rejected the claim of former Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on the economic situation of the country and said that there is a limit to misrepresentation.
In a message on the social networking site Twitter, former finance and planning minister Asad Umar said yesterday that the government has found the vehicle of the economy in the best running condition. There are record exports, record crops, an increase in industrial production, and fast-growing employment opportunities, he said.

Describing the state of the economy as improving at a record level during the PTI regime, former federal minister Asad Umar said that with the slowness and incompetence with which the present government is making decisions, it seems that the engine has started emitting smoke soon. Incumbent Finance Minister Miftah Ismail dismissed the PTI’s claims as baseless.
