Mark Zuckerberg has become the second richest person in the world surpassing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, as the Meta CEO’s personal fortune swelled to its highest level yet, according to Bloomberg.
Zuckerberg passed Bezos on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index on Thursday as his fortune increased by more than $3 billion to $206.2 billion.
Bezos returned to the third position with a fortune of 205 billion dollars. The company had revenues of $75.5 billion in the first half of the year, including $39.07 billion in the second quarter, and $25.83 billion over the two quarters.
At the end of September, Zuckerberg reached a new financial milestone: his wealth exceeded 200 billion dollars on September 23. Bloomberg reports that so far only two Americans – Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk – have achieved this fortune.
Musk, at $256 billion, holds the title of the wealthiest individual in the world, per Bloomberg.
